G-SYNC Support and Calmer Enemy Camps

Dev build 25: G-SYNC detection, frame cap steps with VSync, camps raid only real signal, a mining station crash fix

1.0 Build 25

G-SYNC Support and Calmer Enemy Camps

Fixes

  • Enemy camps no longer raid a base whose signal stays in its own chunk. A camp needs at least 1 signal to start a raid, and the signal a camp has stored halves every 5 minutes instead of lasting until a raid spends it
  • A mining station's production counters are no longer freed while the game is still counting into them, a rare cause of crashes when a station is removed or its counters reset

Improvements

  • On Windows with an NVIDIA card, the game detects when G-SYNC is on, and then leaves the VSync judder workaround off
  • Display settings show an adaptive sync line under Vertical Sync: active, not detected, or unknown
  • With VSync on and no adaptive sync, the Target Framerate slider steps through the rates your screen can actually show (for example 30 and 60 on a 60 Hz screen), instead of offering caps VSync would ignore

Crash reports

  • Crash, desync and hang reports now carry a random id for your install, so we can tell which reports come from the same computer. It is made up at random, says nothing about you or your computer, and is sent only if you have reports turned on in Settings > Privacy
