Build 97

Belt Item Models, Comet Catchers and the Fleet Formation

Improvements

  • Every item that rides a belt has its own model now instead of the orange orb, and the dark ones like the Mind Extractor are brighter
  • The Battery is a 2x1 plug-in like the Solar Panel, with one plug end. Batteries in older saves are cut to 2x1 and keep their connections
  • New Game has one Tutorial box: on plays the Normal tutorial, off plays none
  • The Normal tutorial now covers silica and AI circuits, Mass Drivers and the research station
  • Tutorial hints that ask you to open the crafting panel say which key to press
  • Railgun: its blast does 15% of the hit (was 30%), a hit pulls the enemies around the target onto the gun, and it does double damage to buildings
  • The Railgun slug flies smoothly, the slug and its hit are orange, and the hit is 20% bigger
  • The Railgun Slug is smaller on belts so it fits through turns, and you craft it in the Combat tab
  • The orange Select Research border shows only when a tutorial step asks for research, and the tech's tile in the grid gets the border along with its tree node
  • The "Too far away" hint sits just above Station Info
  • New games start with the camera closer to your ship
  • The Objectives header sits closer to its card

Fixes

  • A Comet Catcher's red zone is now exactly what a comet destroys: a cone, narrow at the catcher and wider outward. Catchers side by side no longer destroy each other
  • Your idle fleet fills in from beside your ship again instead of sitting in a ring with an empty middle
  • Ships at the edge of a flying fleet no longer vanish
  • Sort groups your bag by category again
  • The mining station's dotted line follows the station in your hand
  • The tutorial calls the crafting tab Combat, as it's labelled
  • The asteroid science voice line plays right after the circuits fire
