Build 90

Reworked Tutorials, Steam Deck Layout and Requester Holds

Improvements

  • The tutorials are reworked: new step order, narrator subtitles, steps that wait for the thing they ask for, and a card you can page back through
  • Steam Deck: a classic layout where every panel has its own place, UI scale 0.80 (the slider is back in the classic layout), a smaller ability row, a tidier hub, and Inventory and Crafting kept off the hotbar
  • A more compact Station panel, with Copy Station and Deconstruct Station in a fixed spot at the top left
  • The Command Core panel docks at the left edge at full height, so many more stops show at once
  • Hosting a game shows the connecting box the moment you press Play
  • Blueprints: Duplicate makes the next version with the same title and description, and the window fits the Deck
  • Slimmer panel tabs, a plain header on a one-tab panel, and a cleaner research badge
  • A station with no Command Core left now loses the core's settings, so Stay Separate can't stick
  • The Player Inventory beside a building now stays where you put it
  • Blueprint placement no longer aborts on slot data the building can't hold

Fixes

  • Requester Cargo Holds keep getting supplies until the request is filled, instead of one trip
  • The Technology tab's Excess Research label stays on one line, clear of the tab bar
  • The hover card is compact and always on screen
  • Minimap buttons sit next to the minimap again, and slide-out panels open over the hotbar
  • Alt view item icons draw at one low height and show through the world
  • A Steam Deck with no controller layout loaded shows keyboard prompts, not the wrong icons
