Patch notes / Build 92

Steam Deck Screen Size, Button Prompts and Station Info

Dev build 92: Deck startup size repair, Deck button prompts with no layout, station info beside Deck panels, Max Signal Emitted row, more Deck UI fixes

Build 92

Steam Deck Screen Size, Button Prompts and Station Info

Improvements

  • The Station Grid Information panel's Signal tab has a new "Max Signal Emitted" row under "Total Signal Emitted". It shows what the station would give off with every emitter running, so you can see it without switching engines on
  • Steam Deck: a Deck with no Final Factory controller layout loaded now shows the Deck's button prompts instead of keyboard keys. Steam's own layout still wins once it's loaded

Fixes

  • Steam Deck: the game checks its saved screen size at every launch and replaces one no display would use (portrait, too big, too narrow) with the screen's own size. This should fix the cropped, narrow picture and the missed taps some Decks had after Build 91. It isn't confirmed on a real Deck yet, so tell us if it still happens
  • Steam Deck: the Station Info box and the hover card stay up beside a docked panel, so a Defence Platform or Mining Station shows its stats again. The panel's tab now reads "Defense Platform" in full
  • Steam Deck: the Technology tab shows more tiles, the Info tab lists your completed objectives after loading a save, and the Fleet "Count" header fits on one line
  • Steam Deck: the objectives card no longer pops back up over a Command Core's column
  • On desktop, the Command Core window no longer sits low with three rows after the objectives card fades, and a recipe picker no longer opens under windows you placed
  • Inventory and Crafting stop swapping sides as the pointer crosses stations
  • "Intermediates" in the Mass Driver filter and "Attack Frequency" in New Game > Custom fit on one line
