Build 86
Tech Tree Polish, the Gas Giant and Ghosts That Fly With Your Station
Improvements
Tech tree: right-angle connector lines on their own lanes, fewer crossings, an amber frame on the selected tech with the tree sliding to it, grey locked techs, and costs like 1,000 and 12.5k
Window titles are one size, section headers one style, and a Fleet row's Destroy button is quieter so Deploy stands out
Windows, panels and dialogs fade in quickly when they open
New planet: the Gas Giant, ringed blue or plain brown, sometimes replaces a Terra World in newly explored space. Research drones earn 1.25x there
Unbuilt ghosts against a mobile station fly and land with it, and bots build them where it lands. If one has no room, the station hovers until it does or you cancel the ghost
Placing, hovering or selecting a Comet Catcher, or Alt view, shows where its comet destroys buildings as a red zone
Blueprint ghosts are see-through green holograms, red where you can't place them
Hits and beam ends land on the near side of the target's hull, not inside it
Alt view icons sit just above each building's top
Every command is now a Steam Input action. Once the new controller layout is published on Steam, you can rebind them there and prompts show your own buttons
Steam Deck: every keybind hint shows a controller button, and two-button combos show as two icons
Steam Deck or controller: a selected building's windows dock into one tabbed column on the right. On desktop it's an experimental setting
Windows prepares shaders on the title screen, as the Mac does, so first visits and your first respawn stutter less
Modders: PreventFleetIdleMarker is back
Fixes
A player joining right after a building finished could fall out of sync with the host
An inserter with no filter no longer loses its Alt view icon on every trip
