1.0 Build 17

Shield FPS Fix and Research Queue Drag

Improvements

  • Bots finishing armor blocks next to a shielded station could drop the game to a few fps. Shields now rebuild without holding up the game, so that should be gone
  • You can drag your current research down into the queue. You can also drop a queued tech onto the current one even if another tech in the queue needs it
  • Repair Centers heal their station's Inserter Bots and Cargo Barges too
  • The Shield Generator is crafted from the Combat tab now, not Infrastructure
  • The Power Grid window shows charging batteries and capacitors as consumers, and discharging ones as producers
  • Buildings on a station with no Circuit Module now show the circuit button, with a note that the station needs a Circuit Module
  • Q now picks the building under your cursor the moment you press it, not a frame later
  • Reconnecting after you lose the host in multiplayer now alternates between two connection methods instead of retrying the same one four times
  • On Linux (not Steam Deck), the game now starts in borderless fullscreen instead of exclusive fullscreen, leaves vsync alone for its first few frames, and skips resizing its window at launch if it's already the right size. All of this is aimed at a freeze on the first frame some Linux players hit with the Steam overlay

Fixes

  • A cargo hold with every slot disabled stops taking items from its belt again
  • The game no longer draws overheating glows you can't see. Drawing them could crash some Macs when loading a big base
